11:51:53 CET OK, J's birthday came and went. WRONG! The celebrations continue. Becoming 18 is huge, not like any birthday. It was really late last night before all his friends left. It was actually early morning. For us, the parents, we really feel that we're not 18 any longer. But it was all worth it, being part in something so important for a teenager is what it's all about.
The birthday wishes came from everywhere, even our neighbours came over with birthday card and a little gift. J told about how he was celebrated in school by friends. But also people he hardly know. Fantastic! It shows and means a lot.
