22:32:49 CET I spent last night (and it got late) working on J's moped. The vehicle from hell... I noticed that the chain was hanging way too loose. As I was looking at it I discovered that the back tyre, to my opinion, had too much play. I thought it was flexing sideways. I decided to loosen the bolts, and adjust it to tighten the chain. I tightened everything real snug. It was better, the chain was perfect. But still I was not satisfied with the back tyre. It bothered me through the night as the increasing wind did. Before I could fall a sleep it was full storm outside...
We had read about the bad weather, or rather the increasing wind, hitting this part of Europe. By 04:00 this morning it was supposed to be full fledge storm. With the help of J, we dismantled the basketball hoop and anchored the "terrace tent" from the increasing wind. Lucky we did, it was extremely windy the whole night and most of today.
J and I passed by friend E for another opinion on his moped. As E is a real "grease monkey" owning many nice motor cycles and his garage is a proper workshop, I certainly felt much better when he said that it shouldn't be an issue driving it. He had more concerns about the shock dampers . Something I am very well aware of, I need to order a new one asap. But, I know that J will not drive with it for much longer. Car license is approaching fast. J and I talked a lot about his future, about jobs, how he sees the world. Again, he grows up so fast...
OK, I have to go to bed now. I am sure I'll sleep better tonight...
Did you know? 22:32:58 CET Did you know... that today in 1867 The first ship passes through the Suez Canal.
